A considered approach
Reducing glare in hotel interiors
Check the view from the pillow, restaurant chair and spa bed. Deep-recessed optics or different aiming may help, but a product label alone cannot predict comfort in every room. Mirrors, polished stone and screens can create reflected glare even when the fitting itself is hidden. Use a physical sample where the sightline is important and review the final arrangement after installation.
What matters here
- 01
Review seated, standing and reclining sightlines
- 02
Shield bright sources and manage reflections
- 03
Use optics suited to the surface and task
What to include in your brief
Send room sections and the key guest viewpoints, not only a ceiling plan.
Planning guidance, not a substitute for project-specific engineering. Confirm the applicable local requirements with your design team.
